The leadership of the Bohol Police Provincial Police Office (BPPO) expressed its readiness to maintain the peace and order situation in the province on Election Day, which is tomorrow, Monday, May 9, 2022.
Lt. Col. Joseph Berondo, acting spokesman of the BPPO, told reporters that the police will be definitely ready by Monday when it comes to security and maintaining peace and order.
Moreover, Brig. Gen. Roque Eduardo Vega made a quick visit to Camp Francisco Dagohoy on May 5, 2022 to check on the BPPO’s security preparations.
He told reporters that he expects an orderly and peaceful elections come Monday, before he boarded his vehicle en route to another engagement.
Berondo said that Vega gave instructions and guidance to the provincial police force regarding the security preparations.
He said Vega emphasized that the police should remain neutral and fair.
Berondo revealed at least 300 additional personnel from the regional office arrived in Bohol to augment the existing force in Bohol.
