The University of Bohol’s (UB) Finance Department conducted two separate Performance Evaluation and Assessment Workshops (PEAW) for its academic and non-academic managerial and supervisory personnel on May 12 and 19, 2022 respectively, at the UB Information Resource Center (IRC), a press release from the University says.
The PEAW is a regular activity that cascades information on how UB implements its budgetary process in conjunction with institutional plans and actions before undergoing an external audit from a top-ranking national auditing firm in accordance with the Philippines Standards on Auditing (PSA).
The PEAW was attended by the Academic Deans headed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Marluminah Teh, and office heads headed by the Vice President for Administration, Ria Eva Sevilla.
Dr. Maricel Tirol, UB’s Vice President for Finance, spearheaded the activity’s conduct as part of the school administration’s thrust in streamlining its services to deliver more quality service and quality education to its clientele.
The activity is part of the preparations for the face-to-face classes in the next school year, 2022 to 2023, the release adds.
Aside from Dr. Tirol, the other resource persons were Elvie Kudemus, UB Budget Officer; Caryl Camposo, UB Accountant; Edina Namuag, OIC Treasury Manager; and Rogemer Ojendras, UB Internal Auditor, assisted by Marieson Israel, and Ranizza Ybañez.
The Vice President for Finance is known for her proactive programs that have enabled the school to withstand the impact of the pandemic and other recent natural calamities.
In her speech, Dr. Tirol stressed the importance of the Business Code of Discipline’s three areas: integrity, responsibility, and respect.
Likewise, she lauded all the employees’ positive attitude and commitment, thus, making UB a top school of choice among students.
