The action flick is based on the 2014 novel “Levon’s Trade” by Chuck Dixon, where Statham stars as Levon Cade, a former soldier turned construction worker who is trying to be a good family man after grieving the loss of his wife and attempting to get custody of their daughter. He just left behind a decorated military career in the black ops to live a simple life.

But when his boss’s daughter, who is like a family to him, is snatched by Russian mob and sold into their sex trafficking operation, Levon must infiltrate himself into the Chicago underworld populated by the Russian mafia, led by crime lord Wolo Kolisnyk. His search to bring her home uncovers a world of corruption far greater than he ever could have imagined.
