Cortes Mayor Rudy Dennis Uy (3rd from left) announced that Cortes was given a HIGH FUNCTIONALITY LEVEL award for its Local Committee Against Trafficking-Violence Against Women & their Children (LCAT-VAWC) on July 30, 2026. The recognition was presented by DILG Region 7, DSWD Region 7, and DOJ Region 7 during the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons activity in Tagbilaran City.
