The occasion opened with an invocation and the singing of hymns, followed by the recognition of university executives, school officials, and representatives from the various departments. The program was highlighted by the inspiring address of University President Dr. Victoriano B. Tirol III, who reflected on the institution’s significant accomplishments and outlined its aspirations for the future.
Citing the African proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together,” President Tirol emphasized that lasting success can only be achieved through collaboration, unity, and mutual support. He underscored the importance of working together as one UB community to overcome challenges, pursue shared goals, and sustain the University’s commitment to excellence.
As the University of Bohol celebrates its 80th year in the field of education, President Tirol expressed pride in the institution’s resilience, enduring legacy, and steadfast dedication to providing quality education. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to building on its achievements while continuing to prepare future generations for greater opportunities.

In keeping with the University’s continuing employee wellness initiatives, the gathering also featured a series of fun-filled activities designed to promote physical well-being, camaraderie, and work-life balance. Employees joined the mass dance and Zumba sessions, while trivia challenges and team games filled the venue with laughter, excitement, and friendly competition. The open-mic and videoke sessions further enlivened the celebration, giving employees a chance to showcase their homegrown singing talents.

The day’s festivities culminated in a fellowship dinner and social gathering, capped by an exciting raffle draw that added anticipation and cheer to the occasion. More than a celebration, the annual General Assembly and Fun Day gave the UB community a meaningful opportunity to strengthen relationships, celebrate collective achievements, and renew their shared commitment to the University’s mission of “Transforming Lives for a Great Future.” (Leo Armando B.
