Bohol’s first district board member (BM) Ricky Masamayor is an awardee and guest of honor in the 7th anniversary celebration of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Anti-Cybercrime Group today, Friday, July 24, 2020 at the Maringal Hall of Camp Rafael Crame in Quezon City.

Masamayor is invited as guest of honor by Brig. Gen. Dennis Agustin, the head of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group.

Agustin, used to be the provincial director of the Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO). He left Bohol to join the Police Regional Police 7 in Cebu City in 2016.

Due to the rules on social distancing, this year’s celebration will be different as Masamayor will be joining the celebration virtually via a Zoom meeting.

Aside from being the guest of honor, Masamayor is also one of the awardees.

It can be recalled that Masamayor is instrumental in the establishment of an Anti-Cybercrime unit based in Camp Francisco Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City.

The Anti-Cybercrime unit located in Bohol is the first office of the specialized police group outside Metro Manila, according to earlier reports.
