The Rotary Club of Panglao Island (RCPI) enters a new Rotary Year with a new president at the helm, Dr. Julita Cogo, who took over the responsibility from RCPI past president, Panglao Mayor Leonila P. Montero.

The club ushered in the new Rotary Year during the 9th RCPI Induction and Hand Over ceremonies held on Saturday. August 2, 2020 at the Modala Resort, in Doljo, Panglao, according to Assistant District Governor Romeo Balaba.


In a post on Facebook, Balaba wrote that Past District Governor Art Tan officiated the Charging of New Rotarians during the ceremony, while Past District Governor Billy Parilla inducted the four (4) new members into the club.
Also present during the 9th Induction and Hand Over Ceremonies, was RCPI past president Leonila P. Montero who presented the awards and symbols of recognition to some Rotarians for the Rotary Year 2019-2020 with the theme “Rotary Connects to the World”.


During the ceremony, the only son of the new RCPI president named Jerald Anthony Cogo, presented a bouquet of flowers to his mother, Executive Assistant to the Mayor, Chandymar Araneta Batoy, acted as the master of ceremonies of the said event.
