The City Government of Tagbilaran receives another donation from Gugma Tagbilaran which is helping the city’s response against the coronavirus disease (Covid).

The donation, a new Intelligent Disinfection Door, is from the Gugma Tagbilaran, headed by Tagbilaran First Lady Jane Yap.

City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II and City Administrator Cathelyn Torremocha were present during the turnover rites.

The donation is strategically placed at the entrance into city hall. So, every person, upon entering city hall will simply go near the disinfection door and this door will detect the temperature of the person trying to enter the building. Mreover, it will also give notification if the face mask is not properly placed. What’s more amazing is it will automatically disinfect the hands of the person upon entry.

It can be remembered that Gugma Tagbilaran distributed face masks and face shields to all the personnel of the City Government, including those under the category of job orders, plantilla casuals, contractuals, co-terminus and regular employees.

This is not to forget the fact that Gugma Tagbilaran also donated days ago, four (4) units of contactless thermal scanner with automatic hand disinfectant and foot bath.

Last week, First Lady Jane Yap also donated face masks and face shields to both barangay and purok tanods.

Moreover, the City Fire Department also received personal protective equipment (PPE) from Gugma Tagbilaran.

Mayor Yap is truly grateful to all the partnerships generated during this pandemic. He said: “These empowered partnerships have provided the much-needed reinforcement to our frontliners and City Government personnel. All our donors have indeed become our allies in safeguarding the Tagbilaranons from COVID-19. Our donors’ generosity in providing food, PPEs, and protective gadgets have been truly helpful and we will be forever grateful. I am optimistic that we could surpass and stand up to this challenge as we work and move as one.”
