The City Government of Tagbilaran started yesterday, Aug. 12, 2021, its house-to-house vaccination program against Coronavirus disease (Covid) using a vaccination bus, according to a report released on Friday, Aug. 13, 2021.

A bus has been allocated by the city government for the mobile vaccination drive to vaccinate senior citizens and persons with disability (PWD) who have difficulties in their mobility and unable to visit the fixed vaccination sites in the city.

Mayor John Geesnell Yap II said that the vaccination drive using a bus that started yesterday, is a dry run in order to identify potential issues that need to be corrected and make the rollout of the mobile vaccination drive seamless.

The bus will visit senior citizens and PWDs who pre-registered with the mayor’s office with each bus having its own medical staff just like what can be seen in a fixed vaccination site.

In another development, business process outsourcing (BPO) employees are prioritized to be vaccinated today, Aug. 13, 2021, according to Yap.

The mayor said that the BPOs or call centers operators were asked to submit the names of employees who are willing to be vaccinated.

According to reports, it is expected that around 2,000 BPO employees are expected to be inoculated today.
