The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) distributed financial aid to displaced tourism workers on Sept. 21, 2021, according to a report released by the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) on Sept. 23, 2021.

The financial aid is given to the displaced tourism workers in cooperation with the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the report adds.

The displaced tourism workers from Tagbilaran City, Dauis, Panglao received the financial aid.

These displaced tourism workers were severely impacted as their sources of livelihood were halted due to the pandemic.

Meanwhile, 7 women’s associations received freezers to help them in their livelihood, PRIMER report bares. The distribution of benefits was led by Gov. Arthur Yap as he was accompanied by Tagbilaran City mayor John Geesnell Yap II, Dauis mayor Marietta Sumaylo, John Paul Maslog, executive assistant to Panglao mayor Leonila Montero, and lawyer Abeleon Damalerio, chief of staff of Cong.
