Mayor Metodio Amper

Anda mayor Metodio Amper revealed that his town did not experience any water interruption following the onslaught of typhoon Odette.

This was the mayor’s revelation during a radio interview over dyTR’s 91.1 Balita FM in the program Open Forum hosted by Dave Albarado on Feb. 1, 2022.

The mayor said that majority of the waterworks system of Anda is powered by gravity and the pipes are buried beneath the ground.

This is the reason that, unlike other towns in bohol, water service has not been interrupted in Anda following the typhoon, the mayor said in the interview.

On the other hand, power is being slowly restored in the town more than a month after the typhoon.

There are portions of the town which are already having electricity, the mayor revealed during the same interview.

Amper thanked the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), the Bohol Electric Cooperative 2 and the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) for facilitating the restoration of power in several portions of the town.
