Gilagdaan na ni Presidente Rodrigo Roa Duterte ang Executive Order No. 162 aron ilhon ang Philippine Identification System Number (PSN) isip opisyal nga identification sa mga pakig-transaksyon sa tanang ahensya sa gobyerno ug mga pribadong kompanya.
Nakalatid sa EO nga igo na ang PhilSys ID isip pagmatuod sa pag-ila sa usa ka Filipino.
Nakalatid usab nga ang National ID ang opisyal nga government-issued ID document ug official proof of identity nga mahimong magamit sa tanang mga transaksyon.
“The PhilSys shall be the government’s central identification platform for all citizens and resident aliens of the country. In connection with the policy under Republic Act No. 11055 or the Philippine Identification System Act, an individual’s record in the PhilSys shall be considered as sufficient proof of identity and age of an individual for public and private transactions,” matud pa sa nakalatid sa EO.
Magamit kini sa mga transaksyon sa mga government owned and controlled corporations, local government units, state universities and colleges ug uban pang ahensya o buhatan.
Ang mga bangko ug uban pang financial institutions kinahanglang mosunod sa guidelines nga gipagawas sa Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) ug uban pang regulatory agencies sa paggamit sa PhilID, PSN o PSN Derivative.
