GRANDSLAM FOR THE CHATTOS. In last Monday’s elections, definetely, there were winners as well as losers. In Bohol, among the biggest winners are the Chattos. All three members of the Chatto family (see photo) emerged victorious in the May 9, 2022 elections – with an overwhelming number of votes over and above their opponents. “Kinalaju-an ra’g bija ag kontra,” was the declaration issued by a voter to describe the victory of the Chattos. In the photo above are: (from left) Balilihan vice mayor-elect Atty. Trisha Chatto; re-lected representative of the 1st District Atty. Edgar Chatto and re-elected Balilihan mayor Pureza Veloso-Chatto. The consitutents of these three leaders did not only give the CHATTOS a resounding victory but a real grand slam. Congratulations from THE BOHOL TRIBUNE!

The Chattos just scored a grand slam after winning in Monday’s polls.

Moreover, the entire slate of Pundok Padayon Bol-anon in Balilihan also emerged victorious.

For his part, Rep. Edgar Chatto wins a new mandate as 1st district representative.

On the other hand, Balilihan mayor Pureza Veloso-Chatto and her daughter, Trisha, also won as the re-elected mayor and vice mayor-elect, respectively.

Rep. Chatto eked out 160,647 votes and a comfortable lead over his rivals.

Rep. Chatto was joined by wife Mayor Pureza and daughter Trisha during the proclamation of the congressional winner on May 11, 2022.

Mayor Chatto and her daughter were proclaimed winners as mayor and vice mayor in Balilihan, respectively, on May 10, 2022.

In a video posted on his official social media page, Chatto humbly expressed gratitude for the continued trust and confidence the people have given him.

He also reiterated his commitment to pursue programs on health, education, agriculture, tourism, infrastructure and information technology through his legislative agenda.

This, he said, he will be in consistent support of collective vision for the province’s growth and development.

The completion of the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Cortes as well as the push for the passing of the bill for its operationalization, along with the opening of a College of Medicine at the Bohol Island State University (BISU), a provincial office of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and a consular office of the Department of Foreign Affairs are on top of priority programs for Chatto’s second term.

After the proclamation, Chatto mingled with newly proclaimed winners for Board Member Benjie Arcamo, Lucille Lagunay and Aldner Damalerio in the first district, Mimi Boniel in the second district, and Elpidio Bonita and Nathan Binlod in the third district, who were officially proclaimed on the same day.
