Cong. Edgar Chatto congratulated former Bohol provincial director (PD) of the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) Felipe Natividad on his promotion as a three-star general or lieutenant general.

In a social media post, Chatto said Natividad’s promotion is much deserved, also expressing pride on another feather being added to the latter’s cap.

Natividad is currently the Area Police Commander of Northern Luzon after his stint as the commander of the National Capital Region Police Office.

He was provincial director of Bohol when Chatto was governor of Bohol.

In 2016, he led the BPPO in the anti-illegal drugs campaign and supported the Alyansa Laban sa Droga and Mamamayang Ayaw sa Anomalya, Mamamayang Ayaw sa Iligal na Droga of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

He was also pivotal in the thwarted Abu Sayaff incursion in 2017, which happened during the time several meetings of the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) were about to be held in Panglao town..

Natividad took his oath as a lieutenant general in a simple ceremony before Gen. Rodolfo Azurin, Jr. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022.

“Ang mga bituin sa iyong balikat at karagdagang ranggo ay sumisimbolo ng iyong sakripisyo, kasipagan, at pagtitiyaga para sa ating minamahal na bansa at mga kababayan. Ito rin ay hudyat ng karagdagang responsibilidad na iyong papasanin sa larangan ng serbisyo publiko”, Azurin said of Natividad’s promotion in a post by the Philippine National Police (PNP).
