Abram Noja Arellano, a graduate of Cristal e-College – Panglao Campus, ranked first in the February 2023 Certified Plant Mechanics Licensure Examination with a rating of 90.35%.

He also passed the MARINA Licensure Examination for Marine Engineers in 2018 and the MARINA Licensure Exam for Management Level Marine Engineers last year.

Arellano was a scholar of K Line Maritime Education Scholarship Program, a grant from Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha Ltd of Tokyo, Japan for students taking Marine Transportation and Marine Engineering Programs. He worked for K Line Ship Management for six years and is now employed at Stolt Nielsen, a Norwegian shipping company.

Arellano shared his advice to aspiring plant mechanics: “Dream big, to the point that it scares you. Topping the licensure exam was quite far for me to reach, but it fueled me to strive harder and beat my personal best every single day. Consistently build the habits to pursue this dream, and start it now. Be stubborn for your goals.”

Arellano is currently finishing his post graduate study in Engineering Management at Mapua University, Manila.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 3,774 out of 6,070 passed the Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination and 65 out of 90 passed the Certified Plant Mechanics Licensure Examination held on February 26-27.
