The University of Bohol successfully co-hosted the 2nd
Asian Conference on Multidisciplinary Research via
Zoom Teleconference recently.
The conference was organized by the International
Association of Multidisciplinary Research, Incorporated
(IAMRI) in Cagayan do Oro City, Philippines.
Dr. Leah Wilfreda Re. Pilongo, Dean of Graduate School
and Research and recipient of the Research Advocacy
award, delivered a keynote speech as a plenary
speaker.
In an interview, Dr. Pilongo revealed that 1 faculty
member and 22 students presented their research
studies at the conference, with 7 students receiving
prestigious awards for their outstanding contributions.
Among the awardees were Joshua L. Realtor, who
received the Best in Pedagogical Research award, and
Edilberto S. Sumalinog, who received the Best Abstract
on Social Science award. Sarahmae S. Arcansis,
Joshua L. Relator, Jeanyfer E. Carcasona, Amelita B.

Campoamor, and Riza Joy C. Diaz were recognized as
the Best Oral Presenters.
UB was represented by 22 students, namely, Jennie E.
Teruel, Cristal P. Macatigbac, Riza Jay C. Diaz, Shiela
A. Galoria, Richelle M. Juntilla, Kurt Russel M. Abing,
Edilberta S. Sumalinog, Lareson L. Mallona, Amelita B.
Campoamor, Niño Nelson L. Dagagag, Sahra Lean B.
Robles, Jeanyfer E. Carcasona, Leah Donna V.
Saldivar, Cherrylane R. Ague, Amelita B. Campoamor,
Rosanna R. Salise, Romeo A.Idusma, Joshua L.
Relator, Epifania B. Cuyno, Sarahmae S. Aransis, Kyle
Hanna Racho, and Wilma Therese Gustilo.
The University of Bohol had a strong overall presence at
the conference, with faculty member Evamy M. Alaban
among the research presenters.
Through its active participation and recognition received
by its students, the University of Bohol demonstrated its
commitment to promoting and fostering a vibrant
research culture within the institution.
