She was presented to society at a formal party
on July 20, 2023. That was her birth
anniversary. I saw every bit of the affair
because I was one of her “candles” and there
were 18 of us.

Her party created moments of happiness,
magic, fun, glamour, elegance, and everything
beautiful. It signified her directions to
womandhood. She turned exactly 18 years old
during her celebration.

That evening, she had the opportunity to
express her gratitude to her parents and
siblings. Her family declared their love for her,
too. The event highlighted for her, what it was

to be like a princess – a princess of charm, wit,
and beauty.

I am talking about the 18 th birthday party of
Genina Bianca “Gena” M. Inting!

Born on July 20, 2005 in Manila – eighteen
years ago, to be exact, Gena flowed like a little
queen on her debut on July 20, 2023 held at the
Bohol Tropics Sandugo Grand Ballroom. The
party started at 6:30 in the evening and the
grand parade and celebration went flawless.

In our country, the 18 th birthday celebration
popularly dubbed as a debut, is considered a
grand celebration. There are many reasons to
hold it and Gena’s parents had every reason to
throw that party for her.

Yes, a party for a debut requires plenty of
preparation and planning. It is because,
everything in the celebration should be near

perfect, if not perfect. It marks the bigness of
the day of the debutante. Gena’s party was a
night to beautifully remember, as they say.

Our birthday celebrator is the daughter of Mr.
& Mrs. Bebiano “Beben” Mutia Inting (nee
Gemma Manding). Her dad is a certified public
accountant (CPA) and former head of the
Office of the City Economic Enterprise after he
served as City Councilor for many years. Her
mom is Gemma “Emay” Manding Inting, is a
civil engineer and former Philippine Airlines
(PAL) Purser. She used to reign as one of the
beauties in the city and in the province of
Bohol. Presently, she sits as one of the city
councilors of Tagbilaran having won a slot in
the latest elections. Our debutante has two
siblings: Gabrielle Beatrice “Gaille” M. Inting
and Gianfranco Bien “Gian” M. Inting. Gena is
the youngest among the Inting children. She is
now an incoming Grade 12 learner at the
Tagbilaran City Science High School.
