NOW SHOWING
“Blue Beetle” at
Screenville Cinemas

From DC Comics comes another superhero flick about a teenage boy
who gains his superpowers from a bizarre piece of alien technology, “Blue
Beetle” is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and
Alturas Mall.
Latino actor Xolo Maridueña of Netflix series “Cobra Kai” stars as
college graduate Jaime Reyes who returns to his hometown Palmera City.
Unexpectedly, he finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien
biotechnology, known as the Scarab, which is stashed inside a take-out box
that he’s instructed to keep safe.
When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he
is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and
unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the
superhero Blue Beetle.
The mysterious Scarab grafts onto Jaime’s spine, forming a powerful
reconfiguring exoskeleton around his body. He started to transform himself
into the titular superhero right before his family’s eyes, bestowing all kinds
of extraordinary abilities upon him.

“BLUE BEETLE” is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and
Alturas Mall.

COMING SOON
“Retribution” at
Screenville Cinemas

The star of “Taken” Liam Neeson is back with another action spectacle
about a bomb set to explode under his car seat in the ticking-clock thriller,
“Retribution”, which will premiere worldwide on Wednesday, August 23, at
Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
A banker and at the same time a struggling father of two adolescent
children, teenage son (Jack Champion–“Avatar: The Way of Water”) and
young daughter (Lilly Aspell-“Wonder Woman”), Matt Turner (Neeson)
receives a phone call from a mysterious madman who claims to have planted
a bomb in his car.
Matt then begins a high speed chase across the city to complete a
specific series of tasks demanded by the caller. With his kids trapped in the
back seat and a bomb that will explode if they get out of the car, a normal
commute becomes a twisted game of life or death as Matt follows the
stranger’s increasingly dangerous instructions in a race against time to save
his family.
Matt and his kids are forced to go on a city-trekking joyride in a thriller
that is part-“Taken,” part-“Speed,” and part-“Die Hard with a Vengeance.”

“RETRIBUTION” will premiere worldwide on Wednesday, August 23, at
Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
