Bohol First District Rep. Edgar M. Chatto praised the Telephone and Radio System
Integrated Emergency Response (TaRSIER117) for being named the Affiliated
Reserve Unit of the Year by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

Kita ug Atong Kongresista, last Friday.
He said that the rescue unit was doing a great job in helping save lives and
enhancing disaster resilience in the province.
TaRSIER117 received the prestigious award during the closing ceremony of the 44th

City on September 30.
Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro and AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo Brawner
presented the award to Jose Aleto Requeron, the chief of TaRSIER117.

This is not the first time that TaRSIER117 has been recognized by the AFP. It also

Reduction Management Council. It was later institutionalized through Provincial
Ordinance No. 2013-006. Since then, TaRSIER117 has expanded its operations to
strategic towns in Bohol to ensure prompt and efficient emergency response.
TaRSIER117 also became the 702nd AFP PAARU Signal Company per General
Order No. 708 and by virtue of an earlier memorandum of agreement between AFP
and the provincial government.
