The Dec. 30, 2023 FB post of Balilihan Mayor Pureza Veloso-Chatto (inset, upper right corner) shares with the public the information That on the said date, Balilihan joins the nation in commemorating the 127th death anniversary of Dr Jose P. Rizal with the theme: Rizal: “Pundasyon ng Kahapon, Isinasabuhay Ngayon”. The mayor also said: “Daghang salamat sa tanan nga miduyog sa atong tinuig nga paghandum sa kinabuhi hangtud sa kamatayon sa atong giila nga Nasudnong Bayani, Dr Jose Rizal.” The mayor expressed her thanks to the following for the support they gave during the event: Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, DepEd, Bohol Island State University, Carmel Academy Balilihan, Barangay officials of the 31 barangays, Sangguniang Kabataan Chairpersons of the 31 barangays, Municipal officials, LGU Heads of office and key personnel.
