Romulo Cepedoza, a board member and doctor from Danao town, was reelected as the president of the Liga ng Barangay (LnB) Bohol Chapter for 2023-2025. 

He ran unopposed in the LnB elections held at the ceremonial hall of the new Capitol in Tagbilaran City on Friday, January 12.

Cepedoza was proclaimed as the LnB president along with other unchallenged liga officials. 

This was the first time in the history of the LnB Bohol Chapter that there were no contenders in the liga elections.

The other elected LnB officers were Rodolfo Tutor of Candijay as vice president, Leonette Quiñanola of Buenavista as auditor, and Jemilo Puertos of Dagohoy, Apolonio Castulo of Guindulman, Jose Barrera of Antequera, Zenaido Jaspe of Pilar, Cydon Cariso Camacho II of Jetafe, Sergio Bangalao of Tagbilaran City, Kenneth Estavilla of CPG, and Ian Bernadez of Batuan as board of directors.

As the LnB president, Cepedoza will continue to serve as an ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Bohol until 2025, when the term of the current barangay officials will end. He will also chair the SP committee on barangay affairs.

Cepedoza has a long history of public service in the barangay level. He started as a Sangguniang Bayan member of Danao town from 1998 to 2002. He then became the municipal liga president of Danao from 2002 and concurrently the provincial liga federated president. He served again as the municipal liga president of Danao from 2007 to 2010. He also became a regular board member representing the second district of Bohol from 2010 to 2013. He served as the municipal liga federated president of Danao and the provincial federated liga vice president of LnB Bohol chapter from 2013 to 2015. From 2015 to present, he is the provincial liga federated president. He is also the regional president of LnB Region 7 and a member of the national executive board of Liga ng Barangay sa Pilipinas since 2018.

Governor Aris Aumentado administered the oath of office of the new LnB officers. The election and ceremony were witnessed by Department of Interior and Local Government provincial director Jerome Gonzales, Commission on Elections Bohol provincial director Eliseo Labaria, and Bohol Police Provincial Office deputy director for administration George Vale.
