Exactly five decades after exchanging their initial vows on December 5, 1976, at the Graham-Leopando-Belarmino Memorial Church in Tagbilaran City, the legendary duo chose to lead their own renewal ceremony—because after 50 years of navigating life hand-in-hand, no one understands the quiet triumphs and sacred depth of their bond better than themselves.

In a brilliant full-circle moment, Hara—who served as the youngest flower girl at the couple’s original 1976 wedding—stepped forward 50 years later to introduce the ring presentation, which was delightfully carried out by youngest granddaughters Luri (“Luri gwapa”) and Chika. Following an affectionate ring exchange and a charming harmonized duet of Kenny Rogers’ “Through the Years” sung by the golden couple themselves, Luane and Cris led a prayer of blessing over the marriage.
