The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is conducting Criminology exams here in Bohol starting today, Dec. 12, 2021 until Dec. 14, 2021, reports say.

PRC-Bohol Professional Regulation Officer Ginalyn Lozada provided an update to First District Cong. Edgar Chatto at the latter’s Capitol office on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021.

According to Lozada, 648 examinees will take the examinations on the scheduled dates at the University of Bohol (UB).

This is the second licensure examination held by PRC in the province, following last September’s Licensure Examination for Teachers that was conducted amid the Coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic.

Chatto initiated the holding of the professional exams in Tagbilaran City, by reaching out to PRC Chairman Atty. Teofilo Pilando.

Chatto cited the need to travel to distant testing center and incurring expenses in the process, and consideration of travel restrictions due to Covid to justify the designation of Bohol as a testing center.

In the meeting at Chatto’s Capitol office, Lozada also updated Chatto on preparations such as training of proctors, completion of the setup of the Confidential Printing Room, the readiness of the exam venue and arrival of PRC officials who will manage the conduct of the examinations.

Education Center Head Ginaluz Dano, who was present at the meeting, also expressed the full support of the Provincial Government led by Gov. Arthur Yap and Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos on the PRC activity.

Chatto reiterated that the congressional office’s initiatives are in support of the Provincial Government development agenda for Bohol.

Teacher’s examinations are also slated for January and possibly March 2022.
