A recent survey by the RP-Mission and Development
Foundation (RPMD) has ranked Bohol’s Representative Edgar
Chatto as the third-best performing District Representative in
the Central Visayas Region.
The survey, which was conducted from June 25 to July 5, 2023,
gathered responses from 10,000 registered voters across the
region.
Chatto received an approval rating of 86.4%, placing him in a
tie with Jocelyn Limkaichong of Negros Oriental for third place.
The top two spots were taken by Deputy Speaker Vincent
Franco “Duke” Frasco from Cebu and Pablo John “PJ” Garcia
from Cebu, who both received approval ratings of 94.5%.
Other top-performing District Representatives in the region
include Rhea Gullas of Cebu (90.1%), Cindi Chan of Lapu-Lapu
(89.7%), and Edu Rama Jr. of Cebu (89.5%).

RPMD Executive Director Dr. Paul Martinez said that the
survey was conducted to assess the performance of District
Representatives in terms of representation, legislation, and
constituent service.
He said that the results of the survey will be used to provide
feedback to the lawmakers and to help them improve their
performance.
Chatto expressed his gratitude to the constituents who gave
him a high approval rating.
The Boholano lawmaker said that he will continue to work hard
to serve the people of Bohol.
“I am grateful for the trust and confidence that the people of
Bohol have given me,” Chatto said. “I will continue to work hard
to serve them and to make sure that their voices are heard in
Congress.”
The RPMD survey is a valuable tool for assessing the
performance of District Representatives. It provides
constituents with a way to hold their elected officials
accountable and to ensure that they are providing good
representation. (With reporting from Ven Rebo Arigo)
