Narcisa Aparri from the Tagbilaran Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) won a brand-new motorcycle during the City Hall Christmas Celebration at the Bohol Wisdom School Gymnasium. 

City Mayor Jane Yap also took the opportunity of recognizing the commitment and dedication of all the employees of the City Government on Dec. 18, 2022.

“We have achieved our targets this year and even exceeded some. I am grateful to all the hard work that you have put in. We will continue to deliver effective public services to the Tagbilaranons. We may have been saddled by the pandemic and typhoon Odette, but we have recovered well and is now looking forward to creating significant projects and programs that would catapult Tagbilaran City into its vision of being highly urbanized, resilient, and livable in the near future,” emphasized Mayor Jane Yap.

Moreover, the remaining major prizes were raffled off to City Hall personnel. A brand-new refrigerator was given each to Christopher Dominisac from the City Assessor’s Office and barangay-based worker Maricar Lumuthang.

A new television set was given each to barangay-based employee Quirino Morilla and Estella Bunno from the Tagbilaran City College.

An oven was awarded to Christopher Carcallas from the City Assessor’s Office and a washing machine was raffled off to barangay-based worker Anita Gare.

Minor prizes also came in plenty such as glassware, blender, induction cooker, flat iron, electric kettle, sandwich maker, stove, oven toaster, electric fan, pressure cooker, and printer. The city government also gave away 10 kilos of rice each to 30 winners.

The highlight of the occasion was the dance presentation prepared by each department of the City Hall. 

The City Mayor’s Office which snatched the grand prize in the dance contest danced to a millennial vibe punctuated by an appearance of City Mayor Jane Yap and former Mayor John Geesnell Yap II.
