A scuba diver and vlogger discovered a variety of dead fish scattered on the seafloor of Lumayag Slope, a diving site located between the towns of Anda and Guindulman in Bohol province.

The diver, identified as Eleuterio Beruan Jr., posted photos and videos of the grim scene on his Facebook recently.

According to Beruan, he was diving at a depth of approximately 20 meters when he noticed the dead fish, which included snappers, groupers, wrasses, and parrotfish.

He said he was shocked and saddened by what he saw, and wondered what caused the fish kill.

Some netizens who commented on his post speculated that the fish might have died due to dynamite fishing, a destructive and illegal practice that uses explosives to stun or kill fish.

Others suggested that the fish might have been poisoned by harmful algae or chemicals.

The provincial government of Bohol has not yet issued any statement or investigation on the incident.

Bohol is known for its rich marine biodiversity and tourism industry, which could be affected by the fish kill.

Beruan urged the authorities and the public to take action and protect the marine environment from further damage.

He also appealed to other divers and vloggers to help raise awareness and report any similar incidents they encounter.
